Description
During the workshop, you will create a Professional Language e-Portfolio under the guidance of the lead teacher, language instructor, or your conversation partners. You will publish your professional resume, a video introduction, presentations, research papers, and translations. You can include projects from language courses you have taken before.
This portfolio will allow you to demonstrate the skills and abilities you will be taking into the job market, and should reflect your professional goals, skills, abilities, and beliefs.
The portfolio should support your professional goals. You will create a unique portfolio that will demonstrate information about your language learning experiences, the level of different language skills including: writing, speaking, and presenting. Samples of these skills are going to be the main content of your portfolio.
Assignments
In this workshop you will:
The workshop assignments are designed to help you to develop your portfolio and prepare a final presentation. In the final week of the course, you will present your portfolio to your classmates and the instructor. At the end of the workshop, you will have a professional portfolio that will be useful in supporting your job search or other career goals. We hope that you will maintain the portfolio as you progress in your career.

- Investigate the use of professional language e-portfolios
- Develop your own online professional language portfolio and gain technology skills
- Learn about writing samples and present a final portfolio
- Reflect on your language learning experience
- Discuss the impact of the language programs you are completing on your knowledge, skills, and perspective in your professional position

Prerequisites
No previous programming experience is required to participate in this workshop. Feel free to use web templates or services that help you to generate a site such as Weebly, Google Sites, or Wix. However, make sure that your portfolio looks professional.
Technology Use
I would encourage the use of media tools such as Youtube, Podcast, Animoto, Time Rime, Wordpress, blogs, and others in order to create your projects.

You are welcome to visit my office during office hours or schedule an appointment with me. Online office hours are conducted via Zoom, so that we can talk to each other, it's a very efficient form of communication.
